This is an experiment in building a Ringmaster Electric - I tried this with the Ringmaster baby and then with what I learned there I moved up to the Ringmaster S1. This has been a bumpy experience - but I hope you'll be able to smile through my misfortune and learn from my mistakes.
I started by finding plans on the Internet - Link here to plans - and had a good friend with a laser cutting machine who was able to create a digital set of plans. He can now create me a set of parts on demand. I may have gone overboard, but I build a jig to help build the wing and to assist in the entire build process.
I then took a Ringmaster Baby (S-13) and modified the wing to hold a small battery. By ordering parts through Brodak Manufacturing I was able to get the engine, battery and other electronics to make this a success. Listed below are the additional electric parts that I used. (Check to see if the options have improved.)
Additional parts required include:
BH-1837 Electric Motor 2205/22 Motor Mounting Brackets.
BH-1845 Battery 7.4V x 850 mAh Ply Battery Tray
BH-1862 ESC 12 amp
BH-1868 Timer APC 6 x 5.5 Electric Pro and instructions
While it worked, the overall weight seemed to be a problem.
